Important Checklist Markers When Using Gazelle.ai

There are things we do every day, like brush our teeth or wash our faces. There are things we do every month, like get a haircut or call that one friend who lives across the country.  Similarly, there are items to check daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, and annually in Gazelle.ai. Check out our Quarterly Guide below!

1. Plan Upcoming Trade Shows

We always ask which shows you plan on attending later in the year, but we know not everyone finalizes their annual calendars immediately. Take a look at our trade show section to ensure we've published the shows you plan on attending, but be sure to contact us if you don't see your show on the platform. If your show is there, you can start reaching out to companies as soon as possible; be sure to check out our Meeting With Companies article before you do so.

If you're not planning on attending any trade shows, this section can still be valuable for determining which global markets a company may be interested in. Eg: If a Menlo Park, California-based company is attending shows in Japan, they will likely establish a presence in the East-Asian market eventually. You can also save some of your budgets by choosing not to attend a show - you have access to the company lists and you could always schedule conference calls to save money!

Below we've inserted an example showing all US-based companies attending a trade show in Dubai. We can now say, with some confidence, that these companies are investing in developing their presence in the Southeast Asian market.

2. Plan Upcoming Road Shows

If you know which cities you'll be visiting over the next few months, you should use our GIS Map and add in all of your key sector information to look for company clusters and plan your trip down to a T! You can even click on the addresses of companies by visiting the Company Profile, and calculate how long it might take you to get from one meeting to another.

You can check out our Gazelle.ai City Spotlights in the 'Featured List' section. These are collections of our favourite companies in some of the most innovative, tech-focused cities! Our city selections came out of having conversations with you; if you'd like to see a particular city in our Featured Lists section, let us know.

Below, we show an example of choosing our 'City Spotlight: New York City' Featured list, followed by applying the GIS Map filter to further narrow down the exact neighbourhood in New York City where we'll be spending the majority of our time.

3. Keep a Pulse on your Business Retention & Expansion Efforts (BR&E)

We've actually laid out the four main ways you can utilize Gazelle.ai for your BR&E efforts in this article - and we've also included a step-by-step program too! You may need to monitor companies in your region, launch a nurturing campaign for your Chamber's members, or identify gaps in your supply chain. Just be sure to make a habit out of saving your companies and saving your search criteria too! This will make cross-referencing much, much easier over time.

Below we show you how to switch from 'Country' to 'State' view on our Map in order to limit your geographical selection. Don't worry, you can utilize our GIS Map to limit this area even further (eg: by city, by a 5-block radius, by an approximate 1-hour drive, etc.).

4. Plan A Targeted Ad Campaign

Wouldn't you know it? We also have a step-by-step article on how to utilize Gazelle.ai to create a highly targeted ad campaign. You can access it here. You'll find an email template and some of our use cases for this activity. This is an exercise you can complete if you're working on BR&E projects, attending a trade show, or going to a new city! You may also want to create a long-term campaign to target and nurture companies that play an imperative role in one of your key sector's supply chains; eg: if your key sector is Tier-1 suppliers to the automotive industry, you will need to verify that packaging and logistics companies are nearby too and ensure those companies are emitting healthy signals.

Below, we'll show you how to quickly identify wood product manufacturing companies within an approximate 1-hour drive from Nashville Tennessee. We may want to target these companies for a nurturing campaign, a trade mission, or to connect these companies with a buyer in your area.

5. Check a Preferred List for G-Score Updates

Sometimes companies that grow can start to plateau or shrink. Sometimes companies are on the brink of financial failure but receive a cash injection which turns their operations around. These events can trigger fluctuations in the company's G-Score, and reflect what that company might be in need of. By utilizing our 'Save Search' option as mentioned above, you can re-run searches you've already built over and over again. This is great if you're keeping track of a specific group of companies in a particular industry or in a particular geographical area. This information can help up paint an interesting story about the company along with News Articles and our Custom News Feed.

Below we show you how to save a search and subsequently re-run the same search at a later time.

7. Check on Featured Companies in Your Region

Companies recognized by Fortune or Forbes come from all over the world! A great way to keep your finger on the pulse with recognized companies in your region is to go to the Company Finder, click on the 'Featured' check box on the Filter Bar, and add in your geography criteria by using one of our two maps. You'll instantly obtain a list of all the companies in your region that have been awarded or recognized for their achievements.

Those are some of our best tips and tricks for keeping up with Gazelle.ai companies on a Quarterly Basis! If you'd like to check out our other 'How-To' Guides, you can click here.
